Directly after performing The Benefit in April I was recruited for a voiceover job. I introduced a computer game devised by Jakob Tuchten of Heirloom Interactive, a Swedish company. https://www.heirloom-interactive.com/
My 2025 summer was relatively quiet but in May I enjoyed giving a talk to Bristol Women's Voice on my trade union and anti-racism activism at Bristol's SPARKS venue. I also gave a talk on ageism to a new Older Women and Health group set up again by Bristol Women's Voice.
In September I was delighted to help my friend Jane Westhead with her new production Darwin's Dilemma - a unique theatrical experience! at University of Bristol Botanic Garden on 1st September, 2025 and pleased to be identified as her 'Creative Adviser'. Jane, playing Darwin's long-suffering wife and her Darwin (Andy) discussed his worries about publishing his theories whilst leading the audience round the gardens. A delightful setting which I hope to return to just as a visitor.
This month I've been helping another friend, Alexandra Pickford by subbing for the director of her show Bluffing Your Way in Ballet Bluffing Your Way in Ballet — Theatre Royal Bath In actual fact just being there for their first night at the Ustinov Theatre, Bath and checking health and safety, security, acoustics and sightlines for the cast. Bluffing Your Way in Ballet is a brilliant show and I was totally stunned by the energy and artistry of Alex and her cast.
Last but not least. I helped out by modelling for a University of the West of England 3rd year photography student Hannah Hallet. She very kindly did some new, much needed headshots.
